| If you live in the core area of Kalispell, check your mail carefully next week. The City of Kalispell is mailing out a survey to all residents in the area roughly between 18th Street on the south and Arizona Street on the north. Households in this area are being asked to complete the four page survey and return it promptly in an enclosed postage paid envelope.
The survey, primarily focused on housing, will assist the City in determining current needs for this particular area of Kalispell. The City of Kalispell Community Development staff is administering the survey. Partial funding is being provided through a Community Development Planning Grant awarded by the Montana Department of Commerce. The more people that respond to the survey; the more the results will accurately represent the views of all of our citizens. It is important that households of every income level, age, and size respond to the survey. In addition to the housing information, the survey also contains questions to help the city determine needs related to shopping, recreation and provision of city services.
The City will use the input from the survey in order to develop the best solutions to make Kalispell a better place to live. Individual responses will be kept strictly confidential. The retuned surveys will be used only to tabulate an overall summary of responses. The surveys will be mailed soon after Labor Day. The City hopes would like to have surveys tabulated returned by the end of the September and release results in October. |
